TFFT - The Facilitator for TSM (IBM's Tivoli Storage Manager / Spectrum Protect)
A command line orientated user interface for the professional TSM administrator.
Are you using the TSM command line (dsmadmc) to administer your TSM Server?
Perhaps you are using 2 dsmadmcs, one as a console and one to enter commands?
And perhaps you have a whole bunch of TSM Servers to manage?
Well I had all of the above and it resulted in having dozens of dsmadmc windows open all the time. That is why I wrote The Facilitator For TSM, so now I can have lots of console sessions open without lots of windows cluttering up the desktop. There is still a lot of work to do but a number of TSM administrators (including myself) have been using TFFT for their daily work for years now.

ErrorMessage: "TFFT Version is too old, please upgrade"
This version has expired - you'll have to upgrade to V1.16b
The good news:
You can upgrade to TFFT V1.16b AND keep your current dsmadmc setup:
Download and extract TFFT116B.ZIP to a temporary directory.
Overwrite your old TFFT files with the V1.16b files except zocfft.ini and server.ini
Add the following line to the [PREFS] section of your zocfft.ini file: DSMADMCPATH = ".\dsmadmc.exe"
Now TFFT should work as before...
Of course as soon as you need ssl you'll have to upgrade to a newer tsm client or use UPD ADMIN xxx SESSIONSEC=TRANSITIONAL

TFFT Error 77

TFFT will fail to start and issue Error Code 77 if your System's Group Policy has the "Untrusted Font Blocking" setting enabled.
You will have to disable this setting or install Dina Font on your system.
Information on that Group Policy Setting, why its not needed any more and Info about Dina Font is easily found using your favorite interweb search engine...

TFFT V1.13 contains a large number of changes and some of its core functions have been completely rewritten.
* Better support for TSM7.1.4 and up

* TFFT now allows you to change your password when expired

* 2 new ways to run command output:
* TFFT RUN : runs output of previous command as a Macro in background

V1.13.b05 contains a large number of changes and some of its core functions have

Hi there,
Version 2 of The Facilitator For TSM is planned for later this year.
Here are some of the things that are on the roadmap:
- Improved user interface with pull-down menus and (optional) tab bar

An emergency fix has been released.
The current V1.03a Version of TFFT has stopped working on 1/1/2013, sorry.
An emergency fix has been released to fix the problem: V1.03a users can download TFFTFIX2013.zip and replace their current ZOCFFT.EXE with the one from the zip file.
The normal installation file (TFFT103b.ZIP) has also been updated.

ZB0031 Experimental: New Quickswitch Mode can be selected in the startup dialog. In quickswitch mode TFFT displays only a system tray icon. Useful if you have a number of TSM Servers but you don't need to to have them all connected at the same time and don't need the Main Console. Click on the icon and a TSM Server Selection Window is displayed. Here you can select one of your TSM Servers. (Right click on the icon and you get the usual TFFT Popup Menu)

A new version (V0.99) of TFFT has been released with the following functions/fixes:
No scrolldelay for Commands that start a process
Commands that need reformatting (e.g. select statements that exceed the current windows' width) are remembered so in future no reformatting is needed
Edit Files are saved to %TEMP or to directory specified as WORKDIR in ZOCFFT.ini
Bugfix: In rare cases TFFT would crash under Windows7 (and Vista)
Bugfix: Edit File didn't work under Windows7 (and Vista)
Bugfix: After reconnecting to a TSM Server the alert sidebar info was not displayed in the correct line

A new version (V0.33) of TFFT has been released with the following functions/fixes:
NOALERT Error Messages can optionally be suppressed on Main Console with SKIPMx statements
Typing in a command now prevents session memory save
Closing a Window now only closes the current Server (Multiserver mode), Closing the Main Console still closes the whole application
Bugfix: TFFT was unusable on machines with uptime > 3 weeks
Bugfix: TFFT could crash when alt-selecting a output
Bugfix: When a Help command goes into background, the first output line was cut

Please use this fix if you have any problems with V0.20
This should fix 'CRC error' messages when running TFFT in a VirtualBox
